welcome
Hey, Champion. Let's begin.
This is your space. No judges, no pressure — just you and your mind getting ready to do what you were born to do.

This session has 7 parts and takes about 15–20 minutes. You can go at your own pace. Some parts ask you to write, some ask you to breathe, and all of them ask you to believe.

Before we start — take one slow breath in through your nose… and let it out. You just took the first step.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Center Yourself First
Before you can compete at your best, you have to arrive in your body. Nerves are energy — and right now, we're going to channel that energy into focus.

This is the 4-7-8 breathing method used by elite athletes and military special forces. It activates your calm nervous system within seconds.

handling fear & nerves
Name It to Tame It
Here's the truth: every great gymnast feels nervous. Simone Biles. Gabby Douglas. Nastia Liukin. All of them. The difference between champions and everyone else isn't that champions don't feel fear — it's that they move anyway.

Fear is just excitement without direction. Right now, let's give it direction.
I feel butterflies — and I know that means my body is ready to perform.
My nerves are proof that this matters to me — and that's a gift, not a weakness.
I have trained for this. My muscles remember. My mind is ready.
Courage doesn't mean I'm not afraid. It means I go anyway.
God has not given me a spirit of fear — He's given me power, love, and a sound mind.

building confidence
Remember Who You Are
Confidence isn't something you find on competition day. You build it rep by rep, day by day — and you've been building it all season.

Tap each affirmation card below. Read it out loud if you can. Let it land.
"I am a confident gymnast. I earned every skill I have."

faith & purpose
You Were Chosen for This
Gymnastics is more than a sport for you. It's a gift — one that requires everything you have. And you didn't get here by accident.

You are anointed, purposeful, and chosen. The talent in your body, the grit in your spirit, the faith in your heart — none of that happened by chance. Every training session, every fall, every comeback was preparing you for exactly this moment.
"She is clothed in strength and dignity."
Proverbs 31:25
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Build Your Competition Mantra
A mantra is a short, powerful phrase you say to yourself the moment doubt creeps in. Top athletes use them on the floor, on beam, at the chalk block. Let's build yours.
I AM…
I AM…
AND I WILL…
I am fearless. I am ready. And I will stick it.
say this mantra
Say it out loud. Say it again. Then say it one more time — with everything you've got.

you're ready
Go Be Who You Are
You just did something powerful. You prepared your mind the same way you prepare your body. You breathed. You named your fear. You remembered who you are. You anchored yourself in faith. You built your mantra.

Now walk to that floor — or that beam, or that vault — and compete like the champion you already are.
BELIEVE
you were made for this
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13
I have breathed and centered my body.
I have named and released my fear.
I remember who I am and what I've earned.
I am grounded in faith, not fear.
My mantra is ready. I am ready.
